The wine cellar, one of the oldest in the valley,
features original woodwork and handcrafted beams.
In this ancient atmosphere the handcrafted Merlot
is produced as a joy of life.
The Merlot
has a deep, dark colour and complex fruitcake
aroma,
with tastes of black cherry and
plum, leading to a lush palate with subtle
tannins and hints of chocolate and vanilla.
This is the only variety of this Historical winecellar, in the ward Klaas Voogds, Robertson
Wine Valley. Produced from carefully selected
grapes from cool southern slopes, this wine
has a true terroir character.
You can obtain the Fraai Uitzicht
1798 Merlot 2003 and 2004 directly from the
